Course Description

This two-day workshop will focus on increasing participants’ EQ skills. Including self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, and relationship management. EQ is vitally important to goal achievement in an organization – and it is learnable! Participants will engage in hands-on activities, bringing real-life experiences and perspectives into the workshop so they are able to notice, practice, and discuss their emotions and the influence they have on their interactions with peers and managers.  (Assessment utilized:  Emotional Intelligence 2.0)

Learning Objectives

After attending this course, participants will be able to:

  • Discuss the impact and importance of technical, IQ and EQ skills in the workplace
  • Explore characteristics and qualities of effective EQ skills
  • Identify the barriers to managing emotions in the workplace
  • Develop strategies for managing emotional situations
  • Define Emotional Intelligence- Personal Competence- Self-Awareness and Self-Management; Social Competence- Social Awareness and Relationship Management
  • Identify and discuss triggers that affect emotions and interactions in the workplace
  • Explore EQ strategies that will increase their EQ the most
  • Create an action plan to address areas of improvement
