Course Description
A one-day workshop focused specifically on the problems & potential of male/female interactions on the job. It covers understanding underlying assumptions, biases & stereotypes, developing tools for more effective communication, individual feedback, and conflict resolution. The goal is understanding and respecting gender differences. The course is research based and very interactive
Learning Objectives: After attending this course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the usual issues affecting female and male interactions as staff, as team members, as leaders
- Understand the common misconceptions about gender differences
- Understand how individuals and organizations are limited by gender bias
- Understand one’s own unconscious gender bias
- Develop strategies for self-awareness about which situations trigger one’s own bias and develop more effective actions
- Understand strategies for effectively giving feedback across gender lines
- Understand gender neutral conflict resolution processes
- Develop personal Action Plan for continuing to develop effective gender-neutral behaviors
