Joseph P. Foran
Consultant
Joe brings 30 years of pragmatic experience as a manager, consultant,
and analyst in business and government to the practice of Organizational
Development. Since 2000, he has practiced in organizational
development, facilitation, partnering, training, and Alternative
Dispute Resolution consulting.
He is widely valued by his clients for his unique blend of experience
as a corporate P/L manager, personal creativity, scientific and
technical understanding, program and project management experience,
and knowledge of facilitation techniques, team development processes,
and interpersonal dynamics.
His career began with 11 years at the U.S. EPA - including service
as the Agency's Deputy Chief of Staff - followed by Division
Director and Vice President positions in ground-breaking technical
and scientific businesses, including ABB Ltd., Groundwater Technology,
Inc., The Cadmus Group, Inc., ISSI Inc., and his own company;
Atlantic EcoTechnologies, Inc.

He has created and managed new programs, offices, and companies,
had P/L responsibility for revenue budgets of up to $8 million,
managed program budgets of $850 million. Joe has managed
scientific and engineering staffs as large as 105 people, served
as Program Manager and Project Manager for a variety of private
and government contracts, and served as lead auditor, management
consultant, trainer, or policy analyst on a variety of diverse
projects and studies.
As a facilitator and trainer, he works with
clients to build interaction and meeting management skills, to
coach and counsel individual employees, and to moderate their
meetings, intervening when difficult issues emerge and providing
problem-solving, conflict management, and other skill sets so
that Team members can work through such issues in order to remain
productive.
